Music and Memorabilia– 40’s, 50’s, & 60’s”






What is amazing about this picture is the background to the right. This is the original Presbyterian Church building in Swarthmore from 1897. Today it is surrounded by buildings etc. not open fields like this picture.

The Newtown Square Historical Society is delighted to feature a lively presentation by a

baby boomer with an affinity for the greatest generation.
The 1940’s, 1950’s and 1960’s will come alive with posters, clippings, music,
and Jim McClory’s recollections of the big-band era.  Jim has given this exciting presentation over 700 times with his “TV, Music and Memorabilia Show” throughout our area.  McClory loves to share his vintage selections with his audience.  You will see memorabilia and listen to music that you are sure to remember.  Come join us for this January New Year celebration with the oldies, at the Dunwoody Village Auditorium at 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 15th.. .Admission is Free, so why not bring a friend?  Children are welcome.   Refreshments will be served.
