Part two of a rare 100 year old real estate brochure for the"new" development of Drexel Hill
Aston Township Historical Society (ATHS)
welcomes Bob Bardsley to the Village Green School House (VGSH)
on Sunday, July 12, 2015, from Noon to 2 PM for a fun-filled time.
Mr. Bardsley is a local Historian and "Zouave" who will share his Civil
War "experiences" and interesting insights. There will be so much to see! Mr.
Bardsley will display a variety of colorful and interesting period military
uniforms. He will also be available for questions.
The restored one room school house allows us to step back in time and
enjoy a leisurely afternoon. Come and sit at a period desk, ring the school
bell, wear the dunce cap. Take a peek at the replica outhouse. Pop your head
through the picture board for picture taking! AND chat with Bob Bardsley and
see all the old uniforms!
This free event is open to the public. However, donations are always
appreciated. Shirts, post cards and memberships will be offered for sale.
Your child will be able to get his or her Passport to History booklet stamped,
too!
VGSH is located on Old Pennell Road in Aston, PA, just North of Five
Points, across from Hennessey's and up from Wendy's.
The Society looks forward to welcoming you to their event!

Bring your swimsuit and old shoes because wet is the theme
for this special day at the Plantation! Pirates will attack the farm house.
Youngsters will be encouraged to run the maze and the gauntlet while being
sprayed with water. There will be foot races and rubber ducky races in the
creek. Use your feet to wash clothes and bob for apples with your toes. Throw a
wet sponge at a captured pirate.
