The begining of Delaware County History Month

      On Sunday, September 1st, 2013

the Chichester Historical Society will be participating in

Upper Chichester Township's annual Community Day event.  Join us at the historical society booth from noon to 4:00 p.m. where we will have exhibits and a collection of diary farming equipment on display.  You can also enjoy free hayrides to the historic Twaddell Springhouse.

Sunday, September 1 through Sunday, October 6 – Hedgerow Theatre – “Corpse!”

Gerald Moon’s fiendishly funny comedy thriller follows an out-of-work actor’s scheme to get his identical twin’s fortune, even if it means murdering the brother.  It’s filled with clever plot twists and a touch of farce as his plans all go awry.  Call 610-565-4211 for tickets.

Sunday, September 1 through Sunday, November 17 – Brandywine River Museum – “Jamie Wyeth Rockwell Kent and Monhegan”

Exhibition includes examples of some of Wyeth’s most recent paintings and a number of works from his personal collection of Kent’s coastal views of the Monhegan headlands.
9:30 AM-4:30 PM daily – $12.00 adults; $8.00 seniors (65+); $6.00 students with ID and children ages 6-12; free for children under 6 and Brandywine Conservancy members; audio tours $3.00; 9:30 AM-12:00 Noon Sunday – free admission.
