This exhibit includes vintage newspapers, antique typewriters, newspapers, and dispenser boxes, old canvas delivery bags etc.
Radio Stations will display giveaway promotional bumper stickers and other promo items, microphones, vinyl records, and turntables used on the air by well-known local DJ's.  Awards received by on-air personalities. Harvey will address how the communications industry has changed.

Spring is here and the farm is open. See all our farm animals and enjoy the countryside. There will be hearth cooking, woodworking, long rifle demonstrations, spinning, weaving, working with flax, dulcimer music, tea in the parlor, candle making and seed planting. There will also be architectural tours of the buildings. Refreshments will be sold.

Admission: $10.00 for adults & $8.00 for children.

Children under 4 are free!

Each camper will receive a personalized camp journal, made during camp, a souvenir picture, free t-shirt and will take home a daily craft. Each 5-day camp is designed to fit a specific age group and activities may include: Hearth cooking,

Candle dipping, Pottery, Basket weaving, Paper making, Farming, Colonial Country Dancing, and more!

                                                                  the historic resting place
                                                                for many prominent Delaware
                                                               and Chester County residents,
                                                                    will be the subject of a

                                                            presentation at Penn State Brandywine

                                                                      on Wednesday April 17 at 7 p.m.

      Cumberland Cemetery remains an historic gem nestled in the heart of Middletown Township. It retains the charm and tranquility of a turn-of-the-century cemetery in a country setting.

     The presentation will trace the cemetery’s history and its importance as an historic landmark within Middletown Township. Other topics will include the results of a ground penetrating radar study of the section of the cemetery known as Pratt’s Burying Ground, gravestone symbolism that can be found within Cumberland Cemetery, the importance of the interment ledger and what it tells us about Middletown Township’s history since 1885, and the life and times of the cemetery’s founders. Learn about the unusual background of Cumberland Cemetery’s first superintendent and his place within the community, and explore the past lives of some of the cemetery’s residents.

Cumberland is much more than a simple country cemetery within Middletown Township. It is a reflection of the lives and times of the people who lived here in Middletown, and it reflects the changing history of our nation as well. Discover what makes the Cumberland Cemetery unique and why it is so important to Middletown Township.
